Progress in the
Grace
Town Vineyards

Molbak Block

Year two

Grace Town Vineyards at Molbak Plant Farm is doing exceptionally well with new growth.  Several of the vines are already attached to the wires, perfect air drainage has removed the risk of leaf mildew, the 32 plants are thriving in the rocky soil and good heat.

DeSoto Gardens
Block

Year eight

2009 vintage of
Pinot Noir only five months until harvest

Grace Town Vineyards at DeSoto Gardens in the heart of Grace are poised for a fine crop, with very adequate fruit clusters already formed.    We have just completed the early thinning and leaf trimming to insure a great harvest.  These vines are mature and will bear heavily for a good number of years to come, and will be producing fine wines for future Rotary scholarships.

Cathy Swanson, resident
of Woodinville's English Hills,
and a devoted community volunteer
in a wide variety of causes
and organizations, is the
2009 Woodinville Rotary Club
Citizen of the Year

Cathy presently serves as
chairman of the Northshore School Board.

She chose the Northshore Scholarship
Foundation and the Northshore Public
Education Foundation to share equally
the club's $1,000 donation
in recognition of her service
to community.

The club will honor Cathy with a
Paul Harris Fellow award as well.

Neither the Rotary Reporter nor Snappy Photographer for the meeting of April 28 provided information on this gallery entry.

Editors found it sufficiently compelling, however, to include as the first entry for May 2009!

One possibility would be the Wine'n Shine procurement tag team
of Rosso and Hopkins?
