Jorge Gonzalez and his support entourage
will endure a few days in the gorgeous Sonoma/Santa Rosa wine region of California
with Jorge selflessly engaged in a strenuous bike ride with 249 others whose efforts are designed to raise $3.2 million to fund research aimed at finding a cure for diabetes.

Jorge reports that he undergoing intense
conditioning and training with weekend rides through the East Side with others so inclined to punish their bodies.

He is quick to point out that he will be "pedaling" for diabetes research, not "peddling", as some friends have improperly inferred.

As of June 1, Jorge has received contributions to the ride totaling $2,850 or roughly 75 % of his $4,000.

Rotary can put him over the top with your help!

Here's the scoop from Ana and Mariana

Dad is putting on the spandex and riding as a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Ride to Cure Diabetes in Sonoma/Santa Rosa along with hundreds of other Riders across the country.

The goal: To raise $3.2 million to help fund research for a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.

Jorge's personal goal is to raise over $4000 for JDRF. We are so proud of our dad! Please help us support him (spandex and all) in the fight for a CURE. With your donation of $50 we will send you a 5X7 autographed picture in his biking outfit. For a $100 or more donation we will NOT send you the picture....

But really, anything you can give makes a huge impact!
