A record number of scholarships
 -- 89 -- 
were offered for academic year 2007-08 

 

Woodinville High School had a record number of recipients this year.


Northshore Rotary president Paul Sabado, Kiwanis president Joe McKamey, our Prez Gary Whitsell, 
Northshore Scholarship Foundation President Eric Barnum, and John Hughes, executive director of the Foundation.

     Students introduced themselves and revealed where they plan to attend college and what their field of study will be. Charles Atkinson of Inglemoor was at the mike, having been introduced by scholarship program coordinator Joanne Harkonen and soon to be congratulated by Kiwanis scholarship chair Al Haynes, former Bothell High School principal. 

Bothell High School orchestra added to the ceremonies. 

Crimson Chris Boland, Julian Denes and Rick Pisani were serving stalwarts, arriving bright and cheerful for the event.

 

It was announced that over the past 20 years Woodinville Rotary has contributed $305,000 in scholarship grants to graduating high school seniors, students at University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia Community College, as well as the Viticulture and Enology Institute at Walla Walla Community College. 

 

Secondary Academy for Success Principal Holly Call doubled as photographer to record the school's recipients.
