Got
Questions? 2008-09 |
The meeting was
called to order by President Al Marsh.
In view of the
outstanding work of our chefs in preparing excellent omelets for us,
President Marsh led a big round of applause for our chefs.
Our speaker for
the meeting was Larry Francois, Northshore School Superintendent.
He spoke about the Northshore School District February 9,
2010 special election.
This will be an all-mail ballot election.
Ballots will be mailed on or about January 22, 2010, and they
must be returned by February 9, 2010.

There are three
major components of this bond election.
One component is for Capital Projects Bond.
The second feature is the Renewal Education Operations
Support Levy. The third
component is the Renewal School Technology Levy which would maintain
and enhance classroom technology to support student learning.
The Renewal
Education Operation Support Levy provides twenty percent (20%) of
the district’s budget for daily operation and educational programs.
The Capital Projects Bond would continue the district’s
long-range facilities plan to maintain and renovate aging schools
and provide key infrastructure support.
After our
speaker finished, there was a report by Charlie Russell on Operation
Warm. This was a big
success, and nearly 500 children now have warm coats to get them
successfully through the winter months.
There was a
presentation of the famous Apple Cup trophy to the supporters of the
Washington Huskies.
Chris Boland did not appear overjoyed at having to present this
trophy to the Husky supporters.
The Sergeant at
Arms did a magnificent job in extracting funds from our members.
Raffle Results.
There was no big winner of the elusive “marble.”
RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED this 15th day of December,
2009.
