Greater Woodinville Rotary Club
Regularly meets Tuesdays at 7 a.m. - Sammamish Valley Grange

  Duty Roster
for October 6

  Tuesday  Morning  Meeting  *

How to land a fixed wing airplane on water
... and survive!
     Note from Snappy:
Mike is from Edmonds Rotary, a past district governor who landed his plane in the drink, and lived to talk about.  Rotarian Stan Dickison said that this is an excellent presentation, and that he
will likely attend just to  hear the presentation again.  This would be a good program to invite spouses and potential Rotary members to come to.

Vandals, Broncos, Ducks,
score even more major pigskin victories.

In other college football games played Saturday, Washington fell to mighty Notre Dame (and the video replay officials). Cougars scored!

auction item.

A  number of really fine auction items will be found at
the super premium Mini-Live red table. Many of these items would have been in the live auction if there had been room.

The mini-live will be conducted at 6:45 pm at the Red Table by auctioneer Jay Fiske. Make sure your guests are aware of this section! Click here for the 16 items.

Enrolled -- Rotary Academy professor Alex Hopkins reports that two Woodinville Rotarians have enrolled in the district's training program. They are president-elect Erv DeSmet and past president G. Max Zellweger.

Condolences --  To long-time member Bob Maynard upon the recent loss of his wife Priscilla.

Successful harvest -- Officials of Grace Town Vineyards report a successful, if limited, harvest of the pinot noir wine grapes from the DeSoto Gardens block of the vineyards. The sugar content was encouraging and the crush and fermentation process was completed and under way last week. The 2009 vintage is the seventh in the vineyard's storied history of producing Rotary's scholarship wine.
