Dear

Rotarians
Thank
you for the really big dictionary. When
it was in my backpack with 3 books
in there it was heavy! But
any way thank you for the dictionary. It was nice for the
big and fat dictionary. It was so big. I
loved it! s/

Comments: When
I got home my Mom and I had a dictionary race... When
I got home my mom and dad reacted very amazed... All
my parents could say was "WOW"... I
instantly took it home and my family was glad we got a new
one, our old one stinks... I
need a dictionary so I can spell more words rite... It's
making me very intelligent... I
plan to use it in high school and college... Now
I can look for thousands of different words like the word
humungous... Now
I can always know what the definition of cool is... Thanks
so much for the dicsunary... I
read all of it and it helped me in my spelling. It is so
miraculous... I
loved all the pictures... Woodinville

Reckonyard
Gold developments: Operators
of Grace Town Vineyards and officials of the Greater Grace
Wine Appreciation Society (GG-WAS) were treated March 24 to
the first barrel tasting of the 2008 vintage of Reckonyard
Gold Pinot Noir -- the wine produced for donors to the
scholarship fund of the Grace Provisional Rotary Club.
According to Gustav T. Williger, vineyards proprietor and
Grace Town Viticulturalist, the latest vintage is aging
well, reflects excellent color in the glass and has a
"zingy" nose and fore-taste (the latter known as
the sampler's anticipation of how the wine will react when
first meeting the tongue). Williger says the vineyard
yielded sufficient grape production in October to support 24
of the .750 ml size and two 3.5 ml magnums.

Consultant Peterson
The tasting ceremonies were conducted by Grace winemaking
consultant Chris Peterson, a Walla Walla Community College
graduate of the college's Institute of Viticulture and
Enology. In attendance with Peterson and Williger were Erv
DeSmet, grand exalted appreciator of GG-WAS, Grace
mayor-for-life and vineyard assistant T. Snappy Jarvis, and
Hugo B. Jonsen, vineyard public relations specialist. Williger
announced that the 2007 vintage of Reckonyard will be
released to donors the morning of April 21 at ceremonies at
the Sammamish Valley Grange. A few bottles are available to
scholarship supporters who missed out on futures subscribed
at the last release event a year ago. The 2007 sharing wine
will be released to donors who contributed the equivalent of
$130 to the fund that supports $3,000 scholarships at Walla
Walla Community College and at Washington State University
for students in the school's viticulture and enology
programs.

Valuable
marble located: As
pictured above, Max Zellweger located a green marble valued
at $234. Being the generous fellow he is known to be, Max
donated the entire treasure to Rotary Foundation.
