Enology-Viticulture
scholarships:
The club will
be able to offer a pair of $2,000 scholarships in the new
academic year at Walla Walla Community College for second
year students enrolled at the Institute for Enology and
Viticulture. The deadline is June 30 and the recipients will
be selected by the Woodinville Rotary Club scholarship
committee with help from members of Woodinville Wine
Country. The application is posted on the Northshore
Scholarship Foundation website. Earlier this spring the club
renewed a $3,000 scholarship at Washington State University
for Catherine Hinken Jones, a graduate student in
viticulture who will be doing extensive graduate studies in
the Prosser area this next school year.
Funds
from these scholarships are provided by special events such
as the Earth Day Dinner, donations to the
"futures" program of Grace Town Vineyards, and the
auctioning of Wines of Woodinville Collector Cases.

Work or Play
in the Grand Caymans -- Rotary duty, no doubt!
Cyber-Bulletin
from Fiske:
Thought you might enjoy the
attached picture of the three " Fiske Girls"
with President Derek Haines of the Rotary Club of Grand
Caymans. Notice the banner from the Woodinville Club
which I gave to them on my visit last year. We
(Corinne and I) got invited back this year to preside over
their annual auction once again. This time we took
the girls. Back in time
to do my set up duties on Tuesday. See you then.
