Presenting
21 Acres Education Grant
Details
- Maltby Bill provides them
On
the mend: Wayne
Parris was sighted at Trader Joe's this week, up and
about and pleased with his recovery from back surgery. Just
a couple of aches, said Wayne, but all and all the surgery
was a decided success. Hope to see Wayne at Installation
Dinner. Proud
dad - Jon Bylin: I’d
like to announce that my son was born on Tuesday afternoon
at 5:36 PM.
Robert Sheridan Bylin

He
and his mother Halley are doing fine. All tests are
positive for being perfect and healthy. He doesn’t
even cry very much and it’s easy to calm him. I’ve been
missing a lot of meetings recently, because the last 2
months were very difficult and if I got up early, I’d also
wake Halley. I look forward to introducing him
to all of you in the next few months. I’m glad that I’m
associated with Rotarians, because he’s always going to
have good examples of charitable leaders in his life. Photo

Membership
proposed: The
membership has submitted the name of Todd Banks for
Rotary membership. Todd is general manager of Kenmore, a
Woodinville resident with three school-age children at
Hollywood Hill elementary, and member of a strong Rotary
family. His mother, Leslie, is a long-time member of
Northshore Rotary, our mother club, and serves as the
administration committee chair of the Northshore Scholarship
Foundation. Her father, Bob Munro, founded the floatplane
seaport in Kenmore, was a charter member and past president
of Northshore Rotary and was a trustee of the scholarship
foundation. An endowment was established in memory of Bob
and Ruth Munro in our scholarship foundation. This is the
first of two postings of the membership proposal. Questions
or concerns related to this proposal should be addressed to
the president or club secretary. Todd is sponsored by John
Hughes. Joint
meeting of administrations: President-elect
Al Marsh, officers and new board members will meet
with the Boland administration over supper Tuesday evening
at 6:30 p.m. at DeLille Cellars in preparation of the
changing of the guard July 1. New board members are Pam
Johnstone (administration) and Roger Stark
(membership). President-elect nominee Erv DeSmet will be an
interested observer, appreciating the fact that his year of
leadership is but months away. Steering
committee for Wine'n Shine: Chair
Eric Greenwood has re-scheduled the monthly planning
meeting to July 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the offices of Rorry
Dunbar. Mariners
anyone?: District
5030 is promoting attendance at the July 9 Mariners game
versus the mighty and division-leading Texas Rangers. Doc
Marsh's email on Mariner Night included this info: "The
Seattle Mariners have teamed up with our Rotary District and
generously offered to donate $7 per ticket we sell to Rotary
and our fight against Polio. To get this donation, the
tickets must be purchased through the following link: www.Mariners.com/Rotary
"
Subbing
for Snappy: Chief
Dennis "Bronco" Johnson will be snapping for
Snappy for a couple meetings. Smile everyone!
