   Tuesday  Morning  Meeting  *

Silver Anniversary
Scholarship Breakfast
Introducing 75  recipients of 2009 Scholarships awarded through
the Northshore Scholarship Foundation. The foundation was organized by Rotary
in the spring and fall of 1984 and has awarded more than $1.5 million in scholarships since then.

No morning meeting at the Grange on May 19!

Gather at 7 a.m. at the Senior Center in Bothell

Join scholarship recipients, their parents, members of Kiwanis and Northshore Rotary in honoring the young men and women of our communities whose college years will be helped financially by grants from the Foundation.

Meet our first "Make a Difference" scholarship recipients
graduating from Woodinville High School -- Jackie, Sarah and Lindsey -- each of whom will receive $6,000 scholarships from the club.

News of
Vast Import
and
Interest to Woodinville Rotarians

Triple Door Benefit, All Aboard: The luxury motorcoach will leave promptly at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, from a parking lot across the street from Wilmot Gateway Park. This lot is connected to the sports fields and is located next to Woodinville City Hall and "catty-wampus" north and west of Brittany Park.

Breakfast Volunteers, Couple Still Needed: MomTana reminds that those planning to volunteer at Tuesday's scholarship breakfast should show up between 6 and 6:15 a.m. at the Senior Center in Bothell to serve tables. Thanks to the following who have agreed to help: Roger Martindill, Alex and Celeste Racz, Larry Leonardson, Susan Webster, Steve Dolan, Bill Schink, Rorry Dunbar, Francia Antelo, Evan McAllister, Pam Johnstone, Vicki Puckett, Gary Whitsell, Dennis Johnson and Becky Clark.

Leave of absence: The Board this past week approved a year's leave of absence for charter member Don Fitzpatrick Jr.  Don plans to do considerable traveling with temporary headquarters east of the Cascades. Others on leaves are Wayne Parris and Burke Barker.

Joint meeting of the Boland and Marsh leadership teams: President-elect Al Marsh and short-timer Chris Boland have tentatively set June 16 for a meeting of the incoming and outgoing officers and directors of the club. The time and location to be announced.

Please do not pay any attention
to the following requests!
Do your best to Ignore each of the three!
Do not act in haste. May be detrimental
to one's short-term memory capacities.

Wine for Installation Dinner: Those attending the Installation Dinner on July 7 are asked to bring a Washington wine to the May 26 meeting. These fine beverages will make for a delightful "happy hour" and dinner time. Daryl will be elated.

Wine'n Shine Procurement lagging: There is a reason that Rorry and others are called upon each meeting for an "auction procurement" update. Please consider giving Rorry and his lieutenants a reason to be upbeat at the May 26 meeting by bringing a Procurement Form filled out with a silent or potential live auction item. How do you spell procrastination?

Wine'n Shine Alert:  Our plan is to send Save the Date cards at the beginning of June to potential attendees of our 19th annual charity event -- Puttin' on the Ritz. Time now for members to submit names, addresses and especially email info to the steering committee to be added to our master invite list. Please email this information ASAP as we are cleaning up and compiling the final list. Send to Hugo and the info will get to the folks working diligently on this important project. Send even if you think they may already be in the database. We have very few email addresses and it is equally important that we develop a strong email database to keep supporters up-to-date on early purchase opportunities and details of the dinner show and auction.
