Triple
Door Benefit, All Aboard:
The club's
Fun & Frolic Committee has lined up a luxury motorcoach
to transport Rotarians to and fro the "Vegas
Evening" benefit on May 26 at the Triple Door nightclub
in downtown Seattle. The benefit features Bernadette Bascom
and the voices of SAS with Vegas entertainers Sonny Turner
of The Platters and Theo Peoples of The Four Tops. We'll
have sign up sheets at Tuesday's meeting. Space is limited
so get your name on the list if you plan to attend and find
the convenience and camaraderie of a luxurious ride to 2nd
and Union to your liking. Avoid parking problems and costs.
Departure location to be determined. DETAILS:
Cost is $75 per person with $50 going directly to The
Music Project Foundation and $25 for transportation and for
dessert on board the return trip. Departs at 5 p.m. Tickets
will be charged to member's club accounts. Those
attending will have the opportunity to choose beverage and
food at the Triple Door. The menu is from the popular Wild
Ginger restaurant located above the nightclub but served at
your table. Payment for food and beverage orders prior to
and during the 7 p.m. show are up to each individual
attending. An
elegant dessert reminiscent of Earth Day Dinner 2009 will be
served with beverage on the return motorcoach trip.

Puckett, Gary Whitsell, Dennis Johnson and Becky Clark.
| Thanx
Cathi, John, Carol and Rick: The
club extends sincere appreciation to John and Cathi Abbott
and to Rick Pisani and Carol Van Haelst for their generosity
in hosting our exchange student Francia during this Rotary
year of 2008-09. Francia is enjoying getting acquainted with
the Dunbar family for the balance of her stay with us. Larry
Duffield is scouting for one more family to host our student
from Switzerland who will arrive in August for the Rotary
year of 2009-2010.

Shine Alert:
Our plan is to send Save the Date cards at the beginning of
June to potential attendees of our 19th annual charity event
-- Puttin' on the Ritz. Time now for members to submit
names, addresses and especially email
info to the steering committee to be added to our
master invite list. Please email this information ASAP as we
are compiling the final list. Send to Hugo
and the info will get to the folks working diligently on
this important project. Send even if you think they may
already be in the database. We have very few email addresses
and it is equally important to be developing a strong email
database to keep supporters up-to-date on early purchase
opportunities and details of the dinner show and auction.
