Installation
Dinner date:
The annual
installation dinner will be held July 7 at Willows Lodge,
according to information released by event arrangements
chair Daryl Eckland. The change of command is normally held
the last Tuesday of June, but a conflict existed with
Willows Lodge's schedule and the meeting was pushed into
July.
Reckonyard
Gold Release:
Lucky holders of
"futures" in the scholarship fund-raising efforts
of Grace Town Vineyards will receive their
"sharing" bottles of 2007 Reckonyard Gold pinot
noir during the April 21 meeting of Woodinville Rotary. A
limited number of bottles of the 2007 vintage that are not
already spoken for will be available at the meeting plus a
surprise vintage or two for those hoping to place a
Reckonyard vertical in their wine cellar. The wine is
produced from the DeSoto Block of the vineyard which was
planted on May Day of 2001. The first vintage of Reckonyard
from the vineyard block at the Molbak Plant Farm is not
expected until the grape harvest in the fall of 2010.
The 2008
vintage of Reckonyard Gold is barrel aging and will be
bottled in August for release in 2010.
