Dear
Fans,
What
a wonderful showing of sports enthusiasts, teams and officials
for the kick off to the fund raising campaign for the Woodinville Fields
project sponsored by the City of Woodinville and Northwest Parks
Foundation. Pre-event
energy was at an all time high while all players were “on the
field” for this important community event.
Notably, City Council members, Parks and Recreation
Director Lane Youngblood, Rotary President Rick Pisani and
Campaign Director Suzanne Hart, all present for the kick off for
the capital campaign. Honored
guests included major donors from the A List, Woodinville
Rotarians and significant others, community leaders and families
for a wonderful dinner thanks to Landau Catering and soccer
volunteers from Northshore Youth Soccer Association.
Items
from The Capital Campaign shopping list already pre-sold include
the Gateway Entrance for $75,000, Field #1 for $50,000, Score
Board #1 for $25,000 and Sport Court for $25,000.
All in attendance were encouraged to pledge at a level of
support they feel teamed up about.
With many worthwhile items to choose from, Woodinville
Rotary Club’s membership will decide from this list.
The club has publicly committed to $75,000 over three
years thanks in a large part to our community service partner,
Banner Bank.
If
there is any indication to the ultimate success of Woodinville
Rotary Club’s upcoming 18th annual charity event,
Wine and Shine, on October 4, 2008 to support the Woodinville
Multi-Purpose Sport Fields’ Million Dollar Campaign, the
scoreboard reads…Home Run!
