Duck Spirit rewarded
Not to be overlooked during the Show Your Colors festivities last week was the award for Superior School Spirit -- presented to a member known to be partial to the University of Oregon. Check out the photos from the 2006 gambit.

Dictionaries and our literacy project
Here's the latest information from Susan Webster on our dictionary project. Members will begin delivering dictionaries to third grade classrooms in eight Woodinville area elementary schools next week. Susan describes the project and shares responses from principals.

First place goes to Walla Walla gals
Check out the results of the Blind Syrah Tasting for Scholarships held Thursday at the Monte Villa Farmhouse -- the third such tasting conducted by Grace Town Vineyards to raise dollars for viticulture-enology scholarships at Walla Walla Community College. Photos and results . . .

Rotary Wine'n Shine

News from our charity fundraising efforts

News Notes - Holiday time
The club will hold our annual holiday party on Tuesday, December 5 at 6 p.m. at Monte Villa Farmhouse. A sign up sheet will be circulated at the Tuesday meeting. (Quarterly dues cover one person's participation and guests will be billed to their member-hosts.) Chair Eric Greenwood requests that those attending bring a wine bottle or two for an informal wine tasting to go with the food and entertainment that evening. The Mike Dennis trio will provide instrumental music and holiday music and Al Marsh has agreed to lead the singing that night. There will be NO morning meeting that week.
News Notes - Board agenda, Hopelink
The Board will meet Tuesday to begin the discussion of how the club will fund beneficiaries for Rotary Wine'n Shine 2006.

Joining coordinator Eric Greenwood for the annual Hopelink "reaching out" luncheon earlier this month were Becky Clark, Donna Whitsell, Jorge Gonzalez, Nan and John Hughes, Wayne Parris and Egon Molbak. The club has been a big supporter of Hopelink's literacy, housing, food  and transportation programs.
