Rotary First Harvest
Forms for individual donations to this Rotary program were distributed at the last meeting and more will be available this week. With considerable sacrifice on the part of a Husky and a Duck fan, the club has surpassed $1,600 in individual contributions.

Verizon presentation December 5

Verizon Foundation will include representatives of our club in the presentation of its regional grants in support of literacy and other public causes. The event will be held at Town Hall in Seattle and feature the celebrated actor James Earl Jones in an event to recognize the work of clubs and organizations like ours.

In our 2006 Rotary Wine'n Shine project, Verizon approved the Woodinville Rotary Charitable Foundation grant application for $5,000 in support of our club's dictionary, Kokanee summer reading camp and Hopelink literacy programs.

Blind Syrah Tasting November 16

A number of Rotarians and successful bidders at Rotary Wine'n Shine 2006 will gather to blind taste five syrahs and enjoy a beef tenderloin dinner Thursday evening at the Monte Villa Farmhouse.  Here are the details of what others will be missing and why you should get in on the spring wine tasting -- it's all about raising money for scholarships and having a great amount of fun.
