Fresh from a presentation at District Conference

Nicole Bowman

Ambassadorial Scholar to Australia

Our Rotary district 5030 was fortunate to have had two young women selected in 2006 for ambassadorial scholarships. On June 19, the second recipient, Kristina Server, will share her year in Peru with the club. Members attending the district conference in Coeur d'Alene were certainly inspired by the presentations of these two women who made the most of their year abroad.

News and Views . . . for May 15

"Burn, baby burn" could be heard loud and clear in Maltby last week, uttered by this week's Rotary Reporter Bill Schink, just back from a sojourn to Arizona and its warmer, dryer clime. Check News and Views for more details . . . no, Snappy wasn't missing at last week's meeting in preparation for a stint for American Idol. He claims he was readying the Jarvis  north Holywood Hill estate for our June 5 social fifth Tuesday . . .prez-elect Rick Pisani is busy making notes for the joint board and leadership meeting next Tuesday morning when their is NO May 22 general membership breakfast . . . speaking of breakfasts, have you let Tana Baumler know you'll be at the Northshore Senior Center at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, to help serve the 23rd annual scholarship breakfast crowd? She needs a few more "volunteers".
