Dear
Fellow Rotarians,
As the weather would have it, next week we will have the
opportunity once again to participate in Operation
Warm and the Santa Breakfast with the Northshore
Rotary Club. This event is scheduled for Friday and
Saturday, December 8th and 9th at Northshore Junior High, right
off I-405 at the
160th
Street
interchange. Note: this is a change of venue from
previous years.
This annual event is a highlight of the year for Rotarians and
their families to organize, setup and distribute new coats to
needy families in our district. We are grateful for the
many volunteers that can help us to set up on Friday at
5
pm
and start again on Saturday morning at
7:30
am
at the Junior High. We should have coats wrapped up by
noon
on Saturday.
Looking for a few more able volunteers for Friday set up at this
time. Please email me if you can assist. Thank you
to Joe Truglio for doing all the preseason work ordering the
coats and taking care of all the arrangements. Now, its up
to the club to make it a huge success for our community once
again.
Having experienced ice and frigid temperatures here at home, it
couldn't be a better time to do this community service
project...together in the Rotary spirit.

number of slightly used coats collected at Wellington elementary
school and offered to our club have been distributed to the Maltby
Food Bank this year. |
