Rorry explores Latin America

Linda introduces scholarship recipient
Alicia Bomer, Cascadia Community College

Vicky Puckett opened up the proceedings “Feelin’ Groovy”. You go, Girlfriend.

Nikita: Buuuseee – as always…..

Roger Stark missed the Big White One.

The Sarge (Momtana)

Didn’t miss nothin’ – heard those two rascals Eckland and Duffield dissin’ her. Don’t pay to disrespect the Sarge!

Roger Stark was certainly on the radar – new Vipers will do that…

Linda Hendrickson introduced Alicia Bomer, our Rotary scholarship recipient of a 2006-07 grant of $1,750 at Cascadia Community College. Amy is a single mom, working hard to improve herself.

She was followed by the President of C.C.C., Dr. Bill Christopher, who noted the excellent rapport between the college and our club, and thanked us for our support of their students.

Rorry Dunbar was our speaker today. Rorry showed another face of his corporation, Ryan Construction. They encourage their employees to become involved in some very generous Christian-based volunteer work in South America. The Ryan employees take turns rotating into the region to help those less fortunate. Recent efforts have been concentrated in Chile and Peru, where they have been involved in building churches and homes, have helped conduct health clinics, and have donated time and money to feed children of the area. Rorry stated that $100.00 buys food for 100 kids for a day. Doing the math, they need $36,500 to feed those kids for a year. Recent efforts by the company have succeeded in obtaining about half that amount so far this year. Rorry says that they all find the work extremely rewarding.

Raffle.  Roger Stark located a clear marble faster than one could say Viper.
