Woodinville,
WA- On
October 6, 2007, the City of Woodinville will formally celebrate
the opening of the Rotary Community Park Boardwalk. The
celebration will be held from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at 19518 136th
Ave. NE , across the street from Woodinville High School .
The boardwalk and gravel trail is approximately 2,900 feet long
and provides citizens with the opportunity to view Little Bear
Creek and its wetland habitat.
The
boardwalk has won national recognition through its use of recycled
materials and construction techniques that prevent damage to the
sensitive creek side environment. The project was completed
with the help of sponsors and volunteers led by Woodinville Rotary
Club, King County, Banner Bank, Land and Water Conservations (IAO),
Jamba Juice, New Life Christian Fellowship, University of
Washington (Bothell) employees, Adventure School Students (
Kirkland ), and Woodinville High School Track/Cross Country Team.
Rotary
Community Park is located at 19518 136 Ave. NE, across the street
from Woodinville High School . The grand opening ceremony will
begin at 2:00 p.m. followed with music by The Higgins Trio (new
country) at 2:30 p.m. The event will also feature salmon education
stations, and children’s arts and crafts from 2:30-4:00 p.m. |

Sandblasted
rock at Park's entrance will identify Woodinville Rotary and
Banner Bank as major supporters of Rotary Community Park
