New Boardwalk at Woodinville Rotary Community Park
Set to Open-Celebration on October 6

Woodinville, WA- On October 6, 2007, the City of Woodinville will formally celebrate the opening of the Rotary Community Park Boardwalk.  The celebration will be held from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at 19518 136th Ave. NE , across the street from Woodinville High School .  The boardwalk and gravel trail is approximately 2,900 feet long and provides citizens with the opportunity to view Little Bear Creek and its wetland habitat.
The boardwalk has won national recognition through its use of recycled materials and construction techniques that prevent damage to the sensitive creek side environment.  The project was completed with the help of sponsors and volunteers led by Woodinville Rotary Club, King County, Banner Bank, Land and Water Conservations (IAO), Jamba Juice, New Life Christian Fellowship, University of Washington (Bothell) employees, Adventure School Students ( Kirkland ), and Woodinville High School Track/Cross Country Team.
Rotary Community Park is located at 19518 136 Ave. NE, across the street from Woodinville High School . The grand opening ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed with music by The Higgins Trio (new country) at 2:30 p.m. The event will also feature salmon education stations, and children’s arts and crafts from 2:30-4:00 p.m.

Sandblasted rock at Park's entrance will identify Woodinville Rotary and Banner Bank as major supporters of Rotary Community Park
