Important Bulletin for Members

Woodinville Rotary Club
has established the
Marv Workman
Business Scholarship
for a freshman
at University of Washington Bothell.

To ensure that the
scholarship is
offered in perpetuity,
the club has set
about to raise an
endowment fund of
more than $30,000
from which the annual
renewable $2,000
may be offered.

Marv Workman served as
the club's first full-year
president after the Woodinville
organizers received a
Rotary International
Charter in January, 2007

He also was a charter member and served as a founding trustee and treasurer of the Northshore Scholarship Foundation.

The endowment will be placed with and managed by the Northshore Scholarship Foundation, founded in 1984. Woodinville Rotary is one of three sponsoring organizations of the Foundation.

The 2008 cruise is being held to raise the bulk of the endowment for the scholarship. Marv is pictured
here with Andrew Teachout, the first recipient of the scholarship. Andrew is a Woodinville High School graduate whose plan is to earn a degree in business from UW Bothell.

Until the funds are secured for the endowment, Woodinville Rotary  has pledged to fund the scholarship through its annual charity fund-raising efforts.
